New Ringling Bros. playground ringmaster conjures fad Family

With the elephants and the clowns and the trapeze acts, could there be room for sorcery underneath the Big Top?

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus says yes, and even better, the playground has brought in Alex Ramon, a 24-year-old who is host of the new show "Zing Zang Zoom."

Actually, host isnt the right word. Ramon is the Zingmaster; in between the playground hallmarks you love, he"ll perform sorcery and illusions, branch clowns in to tigers, sawing a jester in half, creation an elephant disappear. All finished after he uses the magicwords, "Zing Zang Zoom."

"Abracadabra is old school," Ramon says.

The San Francisco local is the initial wizard brought to the show in the 139-year history, and the second-youngest ringmaster. Ramon says he held the sorcery bug when he was 13; it was afterwards he schooled his initial label tricks. Since then, he has played and won awards in Las Vegas.
